It is one of a number of operas by Donizetti which deal with the Tudor period in English history and include Anne Boleyn; Mary, Queen of Scots; and Queen Elizabeth 1. The lead female characters of the operas (Anna Bolena, Maria Stuarda, and Elisabetta) are often referred to as the “Three Donizetti Queens.”

Soprano Sondra Radvanovsky takes on the challenge of singing all three of Donizetti’s Tudor queens in the course of a single season – a rare feat made famous by Beverly Sills, and not attempted on a New York stage since. In this final opera of the trilogy, directed by Sir David McVicar, she plays queen Elizabeth I, forced to sign the death warrant of the nobleman she loves, Roberto Devereux. Tenor Matthew Polenzani is Devereux, and mezzo-soprano Elina Garanca and baritone Mariusz Kwiecien complete the main quartet in this masterpiece, conducted by Donizetti specialist Maurizio BeniniFor more information, phone 02 6772 2856.

Josh continued to deliver his own viral videos throughout his teenage years, before a growing fan base, and early success encouraged him to adapt his online material into a one hour solo stand-up comedy show. In 2014 Josh performed his debut show “I’m Josh Wade” at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Sydney Comedy Festival, and received rave reviews for his 33 sold out shows.

With his rapid-fire wit and high energy, he is also an excellent ad-libber.  Josh is listed in the Top 100 Australian YouTubers, and has developed one of the largest comedy fan bases in Australia, with a combined 850,000 subscribers and 20 million hits across the board!

Josh’s online comedy career skyrocketed at the beginning of 2013 with the release of his comedy sketch and hugely popular ‘wacky’ street interviews with the general public, in his series ‘Aussie Opinion’. These, and various other ‘sketch comedy’ and ‘public interview’ clips, took him out of his hometown of Townsville into the bright lights of Los Angeles, where he has filmed his series ‘A Guide to America’.

Josh is currently filming his latest series ‘Venice Vibes’, in which he travels the US, giving his comedic outlook on the real America.  In 2014 Josh signed to Collective Digital Studios in LA, and his audience continues to grow at a phenomenal rate.  For more information, phone 02 6772 5666.
